Privacy policy

This explains what information THEATTIRECLUB (“we”, “us”) collects through this app, why, and your rights. We're based in Ireland. Questions? Email theattireclubhelp@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Browsing the shop: you don't need an account, and we don't use tracking or advertising cookies.
- Your account: your email address, username and password. Your password is stored encrypted; we can never see it.
- What you post: photos you share in “Worn by the Club” (with any caption and item tag), messages in the club chat, and private messages to us.
- Reports: if you report a message, we record what you reported and your reason.
- Technical information: our hosting providers automatically log basic information such as IP address and browser type to keep the service running and secure.
Who can see it
- Everyone: your username and your approved “Worn by the Club” photos and captions.
- Logged-in members: your club chat messages and username.
- Only you and us: your private messages to us, and your email address.
Why we use it (legal basis)
- To provide your account and the features you use (performance of a contract).
- To keep the community safe: reviewing photos, handling reports, removing content and banning accounts (our legitimate interests).
- To send essential emails such as account confirmation and password resets. We don't send marketing emails.
Cookies
We only use cookies and similar storage that are strictly necessary: keeping you logged in, and remembering small preferences such as hiding the “Get the app” banner. No analytics or advertising cookies.
Services we use
We use trusted providers to run the app. They process data on our behalf, under data protection agreements:
- Supabase: database, file storage and logins (servers in the EU, Ireland).
- Netlify: website hosting.
- Resend: sending account emails.
- Stripe: when you pay using a payment link we send you, Stripe handles your card and order-form details under its own privacy policy. We never see your full card number.
Some of these providers are based in the US; where data leaves the EU, they rely on approved safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while you have an account. When you delete your account (Account → Delete my account), your profile, photos, chat messages and private messages are deleted immediately. Content we remove for breaking the rules is deleted.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, download or delete your information, or object to how we use it. Many of these you can do yourself in the app; for anything else, email theattireclubhelp@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
Age
Accounts are for people aged 16 or over. If you believe a younger person has an account, contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
